      Recipe is created for
      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

After many tries to find the right custard recipe, I stumbled across this recipe and I love it, as it's the number 1, far better than store-bought!

Absolutely delicious! Thank you so much for sharing this one with us.

I didn't have cream, so used 500ml milk and it worked perfectly.

Love this, thanks for sharing. I double the recipe, but I'm not a fan of cornflour, so I normally add 25g of custard powder and 10g of cornflour and it thickens enough for me, as it cools (if it isn't already eaten whilst hot Big Smile). I also reduce the sugar to 60 (when doubled) and just hit "Thicken" on the TM6.

This is my favourite custard recipe so far in my thermomix. The others tasted to eggy for me. Could you bake this custard afterwards in a mini tart?

Love this recipe, it is my go to for custard and doesn't last long at all as it gets demolished very quickly in my household.

I didn't have cream in the fridge, so substituted with extra milk (lite) to 500g total in Milk.
Turned out just as nice accompanying home made Apple Pie.
