Beautiful custard! I used half the sugar and only 1 tablespoon of cornflour and it thickened after standing for 10 minutes. I don't like my custard too thick but this was perfect!

This recipe was fanastic!! Beautiful taste, not too sweet! I cooked for 8 mins and left to cool in the fridge so it thickened a bit to use in custard scrolls. Delicious!!! Have def saved to my collections tmrc_emoticons.)

Delicious, however I added a few extra minutes to thicken it up. Loved by grumpy Mister3 who demanded custard without warning!!

Thank you for posting. This recipe is so easy and following the directions it turned out perfectly. The only thing I would change is the sweetness. I reduced to about 40g and next time would reduce even further. Admittedly I'm not a sweet tooth but I think it's a healthier treat for the kids with less sugar too.

Yummy, but very sweet,  next time I'll cut half the sugar, less corn flour as  it's super thick.   over all nice

  • After 5 minutes it was still

Submitted by Petrina Pearce on 14. July 2014 - 06:55.

After 5 minutes it was still runny, so I gave it another 5 minutes which was probably too long as it was quite thick. We all enjoyed it and will make again.

Big fan of this recipe, I would use a little less suger for my taste and found I needed an extra minute to get to the 90 degree. But yum.
