This is a delicious crumble. I exchanged rolled oats for 60gms of the SR flour & I halved the apple (whatever brand I had) as that's all I had. This therefore gave heaps of crumble to apple ratio..... Yum!!

Great recipe, so easy. I
Great recipe, so easy. I added lemon juice to the water to stop the apples from turning brown. I also like the tang it gives. Like others, I had to pour off some liquid when transferring the apples to the oven dish. I reserved the extra to drink - the lemon juice makes this into a nice drink.
I needed to cook longer at
I needed to cook longer at step 3 too, and drained water off too. I was a bit concerned topping didn't look right, but it cooked up beautifully. Husband and kids loved it. Will make again. Thanks.

Thanks for a great, simple
Thanks for a great, simple recipe. I used half flour and half quick oats for more texture, and still really good
Delicious and generous
Delicious and generous topping. Used the Apple Slinky to prepare apples to make it quicker, and decided to blend the apples (personal preference!). I found they needed 10min to cook, but depends on size and amount of apples obviously. I also used wholemeal SR flour which worked perfectly too. Thank you for this recipe, will definitely use again.
Great everyone in my house
