Easy Self Saucing Chocolate Pudding TM5, TM31 or TM21

Ingredients

Pudding

  • 165 g SR flour
  • 10 g cocoa powder
  • 140 g raw sugar
  • pinch salt
  • 30 g Softened Butter
  • 115 g Milk
  • 5 g vanilla essence

Sauce

  • 110 g brown sugar
  • 25 g cocoa powder
  • 400 g Boiling water, (Either boil in kettle or boil in Thermomix)

      TM 5
      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Pudding
  1. Preheat oven to 180'C

    Weigh SR flour, cocoa Powder, raw sugar and salt into the TM, insert MC into lid and mix 15 Seconds, Speed 3.

     

  2. Add softened butter, milk and vanilla essence. Insert MC into lid and mix 20 Seconds, Sp 4. Take the lid off and scrape down the sides of the bowl. Insert MC back into the lid and mix a further 30 Seconds, Speed 4.

  3. Using a spatula, scrape all the mix into deep oven safe dish and put aside while you make the sauce.

    You do not need to clean the bowl.

  5. Without cleaning bowl, weigh all sauce ingredients into the TM and mix 2 Mins, Speed 2.5

    (If you wish to just use room temperature water, heat 5 mins, 100 degrees, Speed 2.5)

    Carefully pour over pudding mix and cook in oven for 30 - 40 mins until an inserted skewer comes out clean.

Tip

I also reccomend putting your dish on a baking tray in the oven in case of any sauce overflow.

You can serve with Ice cream, whipped cream, Custard,Strawberries or all of the above tmrc_emoticons.)

    Cooked this last night as a quick desert and it was nice
    needed extra 5-8 mins cooking time - good amount of sauce
    next time I will reduce the sugar as it was a bit sweet
