  • 500 g Milk
  • 50 g Sago
  • 60 g Butter
  • 220 g sugar
  • 180 g sultanas
  • 180 g rasins
  • 1 peel of 1 lemon
  • 1 pinch Nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp bicarb soda
  • 1 tsp cold water
  • 2 small eggs
  • 1 pinch salt

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place the bread, torn into small pieces into the Closed lid, mix for 4seconds/ Speed 5. Set aside.

    Add the milk to the Closed lid. Heat 4minutes/90degrees/Speed 1.5.

    Add breadcrumbs, sago and butter. Mix 4 seconds speed 2.

    Sit for 30 minutes.

    Add sugar, saltanas, rasins, lemon peel and nutmeg. Mix 10 seconds speed 3.5.

    In the measuring cup, dissolve the biacarb with the cold water. Add to the Closed lid.

    Beat the egg and add to the mixture. Add the salt. Mix 20 seconds speed 3.

    Pour into two greased pudding basins and steam for 2 1/2 hours.
