Golden Syrup Dumplings

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Dough Preperation
  1. Add flour and salt to bowl Mix speed 7 for 5 seconds

    Add butter Turbo for 3 times 

    Add eggs lightly beaten, and milk (can add half milk half water to make dumplings lighter) Knead dough 3 mins.

    turn out dough and form into balls approx tablespoon size.

     

  2. Syrup Preperation

    Add all ingredients to a large pot and bring to the boil. (insure to use a large pot as dumplings will swell to twice size once cooked)

  3. Cooking

    Add dumplings to boiling syrup, use a slotted spoon to lower into syrup, Boil 15-20 mins with lid on.

    Will make 6-8 dumplings.

    Serve whilst hot with cream, ice cream or custard.
