- 300 g mixed dry fruit
- 0.200 litre brandy
- 100 g pitted prunes
- 100 g whole almonds
- 100 g Butter
- 100 g Dark Brown Sugar
- 35 g golden syrup
- 1 tsp bicarb soda
- ¼ tsp ground cloves
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 free range egg
- 100 g plain flour
- 80 g breadcrumbs (premade in Thermomix)
- 1.8 l water for steaming
Custard
- 60 g raw sugar
- 20 g cornflour
- 2 free range eggs
- 450 g full cream milk
- 60 g brandy

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
- Place dried fruit, prunes & almonds into a glass or ceramic bowl, cover with brandy, and allow to soak for 2 nights.
- Grease 7 small silicon moulds (200ml each), for making 7, you need to do it two batches. Place into the Varoma dish and tray. Set aside.
- Add half of the soaked fruit, butter, sugar, golden syrup, bicarb soda and spices. Cook for 20 min/100'C/Reverse/speed 4. Allow to cool for about 20 minutes.
Add remaining uncooked, unchopped fruit. - Add egg, flour and breadcrumbs and mix 1 min/Reverse/speed 2.
- Spoon mixture into prepared moulds. Cover tops of moulds with baking paper and then a sheet of aluminum foil, tucking edges around the moulds. Place 1.8L water into mixing bowl and place Varoma dish and tray into position. Steam for 35 min/Varoma/speed 2. Remove Varoma and set aside to cool.
REPEAT FOR SECOND BATCH - Place sugar and cornflour into mixing bowl and mill 10 sec/speed 9. Scrape down sides of bowl with spatula.
- Add all remaining custard ingredients and cook 7 min/90'C/speed 4.
- Turn puddings out [size= 12px; line-height: 1.5]onto individual serving plate and serve with warm custard.[/size]
