My husband and I enjoyed these. The syrup was a little too strong for our children. Syrup is also sweet so you don't need very much. The cupcakes are beautiful and soft.

Love these cupcakes having made them many times. But today I’d like to make a big batch, can I double the recipe or do I need to make 2 lots? Thanks

Lemon cupcakes with citrus syrup - These were fabulous, not too sweet and just the right amount of tartness. I cooked exactly as per the recipe but used ramekins greased with butter instead of silicone cupcake moulds. Note to self: the cupcakes are easier to remove from the ramekins while still warm. I will be sure to make these again! Thanks for sharing!

These were just yummy! The perfect lemon & sugar combo. Will definitely be making again and again.

    Hi Toni25

Yes you can definitely make the syrup beforehand and then finish it off when you are ready.

    Kind Regards

Can I prepare this mixture a couple of hours before serving then finish it off at the end of my dinner party Smile
