- 1 Cup dried dates, (soak in boiling water for 10 mins)
- 60 g hot water from dates
- 90 g nut butter (peanut, combination - see tips*)
- 40 g rice syrup
- 20 g honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 180 g rolled oats (gluten free if needed)
- 40 g chia seeds
- 25 g ground Flaxseed

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
1. Line a tray with baking paper.
2. Strain dates but keep the water.
3. Place dates, 60g of date water into bowl and mix on spd 8 for 5 secs. Scrape sides of bowl and repeat.
4. Add nut butter, syrup, honey, vanilla and mix on spd 3 for 10 secs. Then heat for 3 mins, 90C on spd 3.
5. Add oats, chia and flax seeds and mix on Reverse, spd 3 for 20 secs. Scrape sides and repeat until mixed well.
6. Pour mixture into tray and place another layer of baking paper ontop. Then use the back of a spoon to spread mixture evenly.
7. Freeze for 2 hours and then slice. Store in freezer.

*I used half peanut butter and half a blend of pecan, almond and cashew butter. All made in the thermomix.
