Stewed Rhubarb with Apples

  • 1 bunch rhubarb, washed and cut into pieces
  • 2 large Apples Granny Smiths, washed, peeled and cut into pieces
  • 4 plums, washed and cut into pieces
  • Juice and zest of 1 orange

  • 1 heaped tsp ground cinnamon

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Stewed Rhubarb with Apples and Plums
  1. Place rhubarb, apples, plums, juice and zest of orange and juice of lemon, cinnamon and vanilla essence into and cook on 100 degrees C for 10 min on speed 1.

    Transfer into glass container.

    Serve hot or cold with joghurt or ice cream or your muesli for breakfast.
