      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Add vanilla beans to the mixing bowl and grind 20 sec/speed 10. Remove from the bowl and put aside, don't wash bowl.

  2. Add water and sugar to the mixing bowl and cook 5 min/50℃/speed 2.

  3. Add grind vanilla beans and puree 30 sec/speed 10.

  4. Pour into a sterilised jar and keep in the fridge.

  5. Let the paste sit for 2 weeks before use for the flavour to develop.

Tip

If you are deviding the paste between smaller bottles, let it thicken first or you will have some bottles with thicker paste than others.... Found this out the hard way!
