  • Had a sore throat, ransacked

Had a sore throat, ransacked the house looking for some lemsip without success so thought I would try the community and found this.

I bruised the cardamom and used 2.5cm of ginger.  It worked a treat, syrupy and strong and greatly eased the pain and inflammation. Well done.   I might also be inclined to add a some garlic next time.

Thank you for sharing, this was just what I needed today! I love the syrupy texture of this. Will b brave and add more ginger next time, possibly even crack or bruise the cardamom too!
