Healthy Strawberry Frosty Shake (Sugar free, vegan)

Ingredients

2 portion(s)

Shake

  • 200 grams Milk, (Whole milk, Almond milk for vegan or any milk of your choice)
  • 14 ice cubes, (Add more if you like)
  • 1 scoop Protein Powder of your Choice, (I use Isowhey vanilla or strawberry)
  • 125 grams fresh or frozen strawberries, (More if you wish)
  • 1/2 frozen banana, (or other sweetner of choice ie stevia etc)
  • 1/2 teaspoon xanthan gum, (This is the Key ingredient)

Recipe's preparation

  1. Gentle stir setting

    Starting with liquids, then dry ingredients, then strawberries and ice - put all ingredients into TM Closed lid .

     

    Blend at speed 6 for about 15 seconds.

     

    Scrape down sides of bowl and lid.

     

    Blend again for about 10 seconds. You will see the colour and consistency change to a creamy light pink and will be fluffy.

     

    Pour into glasses and serve with spoons.

Tip

The sweetness depends on how much sweetner you like to add in. I used half a frozen banana and it was just right for me. My son wanted it sweeter.

You could add in dates as your sweetner.

I also used frozen strawberry puree that I had pureed a few months ago and stored in zip lock bags in the freezer.

Xanthan Gum is a thickening agent and can be found in the health food section at the supermarket.
