  • 1 lemon, juice and rind
  • 1.3 l water
  • 200 g Earl Grey tea
  • 60 g honey (or to taste)
  • 2 Red Apples, quartered and cored
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 cloves
  • Apple slices, to serve

Recipe's preparation

    Dairy free, gluten free, vegan
  1. 1. Fill TM bowl with lemon juice, water, tea and honey. Place lemon rind, apples, cinnamon sticks and cloves in TM steamer basket and insert into bowl. Cook for 20 minutes, 90C, speed 3.

     

    2. Use the back of a spoon to gently push down on the apples. Remove steamer basket and discard contents.

     

    Serve hot garnished with a slice of apple.

Tip

Variation: Chill apple tea and serve over ice with a slice of lemon for a refreshing afternoon drink. 

Chef’s note: Honey can be replaced with brown sugar.

    AngusLachlansMum: recipe clearly says Earl Grey Tea not Earl Grey Tea leaves. so i am thinking you need to make the Tea first and use that. I would say this is where Suzy - https://www.recipecommunity.com.au/user/75026 went wrong

  • No go for me with this recipe

    No go for me with this recipe tmrc_emoticons.(  I halved the tea amount and ended up with a brown mucky liquid that tasted disgustingly bitter. Are you sure 200gms of tea is correct?
