  • 300 g sweet potato
  • 410 g can red salmon
  • 1 clove garlic peeled
  • 2 cm Fresh Ginger Peeled
  • 1 tablespoon palm sugar
  • 1/2 bunch coriander leaves
  • 1/2 red onion
  • 1/4 --- cup rice crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1/2 fresh lime juiced
  • 1 deseeded red chilli, optional
  • 250 g Brocoli florets

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Steam sweet potato
  1. Describe the preparation steps of your recipe

  2. Peel and cube sweet potato

    Fill tmx bowl with 500ml water

    place sweet potato on top veroma tray

    Steam 30min/veroma/spd1 or longer until soft

    transfer to large bowl, mash with fork and put aside

    discard water

     

  3. Fish cakes
  4. Chop garlic, ginger, palm sugar, coriander, onion, brocoli, rice crumbs & egg 15secs/spd 5

    scrape down sides of bowl with spatula

    Add drained salmon, fish sauce & lime juice

    Mix 10secs/spd 1

    Transfer mix to sweet potato mash and mix with spatula

    Refrigerate for 30mins

     

  5. Shallow fry
  6. Add oil to fry pan

    Roll mix into fist size balls

    shallow fry in batches

    Serve with your favourite salad
