    Wow!!!
I took some of the advice given in the comments and added honey at the last 5minute mark. Using just under 1kg of pork ribs, I doubled the sauces (but not the sugar) and marinated the meat for a good 6hours. I also cooked some frozen stirfry vegetables in the Varoma for the last 15minutes.
What a knockout! Even fussy Mr 9 asked for seconds and he never, ever, does that. Next time I will triple this recipe - yes it was that good.

Loved this dish! I used 1kg of sliced pork fillet, 60ml each of oyster and soy sauces. Doubled other ingredients. Used red wine instead of Chinese wine. Step 2 needs to be at Varoma temp too. MC off for last 15 mins to thicken. Also added a tablespoon of honey with 5 mins to go. Served with 2 packets fresh stir fry veggies (mixed meat in wok with veggies when cooked). Could have with noodles or rice.

Submitted by van der Ploeg on 12. January 2016 - 10:52.

Beautiful, everyone in my family loved it. The meat was so tender, melted in your mouth. Just wondering if anyone has successfully doubled the recipe? I used just over a kilo of pork and doubled the sauce ingredients. I cooked it as stated and left the mc off for the last 15 mins. Since my sauce was quite runny still and not that sticky I decided to pop the meat into the oven for 10 mins. The meat was perfect after that but I wasn't able to use the sauce as the oil had separated. I also used Apple juice instead of the wine which worked really well. Any ideas anyone?? Love

    Submitted by caitie88 on 2. December 2015 - 09:23.

First time making this last night, and oh my goodness! Delicious! I didn't have any Chinese cooking wine, so used dry sherry instead, and removed the MC for the last 15 minutes of cooking as others had suggested, and the taste was sensational and the sauce was nice and sticky. Next time I will increase the amount of pork ribs (and increase the sauce to go with it), as we could easily have eaten more! This is going to become a staple at our house.

This recipe is amazing. The trick to getting the ribs nice and sticky is leaving the MC off for the last 15 minutes to thicken the sauce. That way you don't need to put it in the oven to finish it off. I also add black fungus mushrooms to soak up the juices.

This will now be one of our family's staple dishes - a real winner!! I cooked 1kg of ribs and it was all devoured in one seating! I did add some honey towards the end of the cooking (as mentioned by another reviewer) and it really lifted the whole taste of the dish. Thanks for sharing your amazing recipe!

    Submitted by Kaspa on 7. January 2015 - 19:29.

we have been cooking this weekly for "Jenkin" nights to eat with a mate....It is so good we just cannot go past it! We have had it with pork ribs, chicken wings and lamb ribs and we also muck around with the marinade a little with fresh herbs, spices and chillis. However each and every time we love this! We also pop in the oven for 10 minutes after cooking which really finishes them off and have eaten them both ways. Oven is best after finished in thermo! Amazing recipe! love it!

OMG sooooo yummy!  I didn't have any chinese cooking wine, or gin, dry sherry, dry white wine or Apple juice (as Google search suggested for substitutes for the Chinese wine) so use Apple and black current juice instead.  I also popped them in the oven after finishing cooking until nice and brown and deliciously sticky!  I could not believe a meal like this came out my TMX.  Thanks so much for sharing this recipe, I am sure it will be used over and over iN Our household.

I found my own answers on your  website via the video you put up!  http://easycookinghealthyrecipes.com/recipe/braised-pork-ribs-using-thermomix/

It looks delicious!!!Might I suggest a recipe edit here though, based purely on the video you had there.

    1)  Marinate the pork with soy sauce and oyster sauce for at least 30 mins in the refrigerator.

     2)  In the TMX bowl place the cooking oil and powdered sugar and cook for 3min Varoma Speed 1

    3) Add meat and spring onions cook on varoma for 6 mins on speed Stir and reverse.

    4) Add the cooking wine.Cook for 22 mins on Varoma heat, speed stir and  Reverse.

there is a video on the posters own website which shows her cooking this.  It's actually quite simple.  This is a suggested edit I wrote out based on her video.  I hope she doesn't mind me putting this here...

    1)  Marinate the pork with soy sauce and oyster sauce for at least 30 mins in the refrigerator.

     2)  In the TMX bowl place the cooking oil and powdered sugar and cook for 3min Varoma Speed 1

  • I really want to try this,

    Submitted by Tygrays on 14. October 2014 - 12:46.

I really want to try this, just want to make sure I have the steps right first...Marinate the pork I get that... From there are you only cooking the oil and sugar by itself in the TMX bowl on varoma heat speed 1 for 3 minutes, or is there something else in the bowl as well?  then add the meat to the mixture in the bowl and only stir for 6 mins on reverse, no heat?  then we add the wine and cook on varoma.. but what sauces are being added?  is there something missed in the ingredients or am I missing something (very probable LOL)?  but once the wine etc added cook on varoma heat for 22 minutes at the stirring speed on reverse.
