Ingredients

  • 1 brown onion, peeled and halved
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 cube ginger, peeled
  • 250 grams water
  • 120 grams Ayam Teriyaki Sauce
  • 4 teaspoons cornflour
  • 1 chicken breast, diced
  • 30 grams peanut oil
  • 400 grams pack udon noodles

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Weigh 80g of Ayam Teriyaki Sauce and marinade diced chicken with this.

    2. Add onion, garlic and ginger to bowl and chop 3 sec/speed 6.

    3. Scrape down sides of bowl, add oil and saute 3min/varoma/speed1.

    4. Add water, remainder of Ayam Teriyaki sauce and cornflour to bowl. Place varoma ontop and add chicken breast and steam for 10mins/varoma/speed3.

    5. Move chicken and add top tray with noodles. Cook for a further 6mins/varoma/speed3.

    6. Blend sauce 15sec/speed9.

    7. Pour sauce into separate jug. Add chicken to bowl and on Counter-clockwise operation/speed4 shred chicken.

    8. Add noodles and sauce to bowl, mix Counter-clockwise operation/speed2 and serve hot.
