- 50 g Butter
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 15 g fresh ginger
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp Ground Coriander
- 1 tsp ground turmeric
- 1 tsp ground allspice
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 70 g Cashews
- 95 g dried apricots, diced
- 95 g sultanas
- 293 g basmati rice, rinsed
- 1250 g hot water
- 3-4 tsp chicken stock paste

For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation
- add onion, ginger and garlic
- chop for 7 seconds on speed 7
- add in butter and all spices
- sautee 3 minutes varoma speed 1
- add apricots, sultanas and cashews and stir with spatular
- insert butterfly whisk
add water and stock paste - add rice cook 18minutes at 100°C "Counter-clockwise operation" speed 1
- prolong cooking time until rice is cooked. stand for 5 minutes before serving
