Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
- Add onion halves and garlic cloves to TM bowl, chop 5 seconds speed 7, add bacon and butter. Sauté 5 mins, varoma temp "Counter-clockwise operation" speed 1, MC off.
Add butterfly attachment, add stock paste, thickened cream, pepper, penne pasta and boiling water. Cook 15 mins, 105 degrees "Counter-clockwise operation" "Gentle stir setting" , using steamer basket instead of MC.
Add 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese, cook 1 min, 105 degrees "Counter-clockwise operation" "Gentle stir setting" .
Combine egg yolk in a small bowl and add remaining 1/4 Parmesan cheese and whisk with a fork. Then using a wooden spoon, gently stir into the pasta and serve. (This will help thicken the sauce and the residual heat from the pasta will cook the egg)
