    Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. Add garlic and chilli (if using) to bowl and chop 3 seconds/speed 7
  2. Scrape down sides of bowl and add olive oil, diced tomatoes and tomato paste. Cook 25 minutes/120°C/Counter-clockwise operationspeed 1 using the simmering basket in place of the measuring cup.
  3. Transfer the tomato mixture into the varoma.
    Without washing the bowl, add the bacon and cook 6 minutes/120°C/Counter-clockwise operationspeed 1 (mc on).
  4. Add the mushrooms and shallots and cook 3 minutes/120°C/Counter-clockwise operationspeed 1 (mc on).
  5. Return tomato mixture to bown and cook for a further 2 minutes/120°C/°Counter-clockwise operationspeed 1 (mc on).
  6. Serve over boiled pasta and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
