- 1 level tsp bicarbonate of soda

For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation
- Preheat oven to 190c
- Prepare lamington tin
- Add sugar, flour, baking powder and butter to bowl"Blend" 10 seconds speed 7 until resembles breadcrumbs
- Press half of the mixture into lamington tin
- Add milk, bicarb, egg and nutmeg to the remainder of the mix in the bowl (walnuts if using) "Blend" 5 seconds speed 5
- Pour over base mix already in the lamington tin and bake for 40 minutes or until brown.
