TM 5Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
Using veg peeler remove peel from citrus taking care to leave out the white pith, place in bowl and grate 5secs, speed 6.
Scrape down sides and add water, cook 4mins, 100oc, reverse, speed 2.
Drain out water through simmering basket and place zest back into bowl.
Remove white pith from fruit and quater taking care to remove pips. Add Sugar and chosen Balsamic into bowl. Cook 15 mins, Varoma, Reverse, Speed 1. Replace measuring cup with simmering basket to reduce splatter.
Cook 60-80mins, 100oc, reverse, speed 1. Keep simmering basket in place.
Pour the into a clean jar and leave to cool.
Accessories you need
If unable to use YIAH Balsamic just leave this out.
