- 250 g red wine
- 50 g red wine vinegar
- 1 pinch salt

Recipe's preparation
Place butter in TMX bowl 1min/100 deg/ Speed 1
Peal onions, cut in half and then slice. Add to TMX bowl. Finely slice garlic and add to TMX bowl. Saute onions and garlic 3 min/Varoma/"Counter-clockwise operation" /"Gentle stir setting" .
Sprinkle raw sugar over onions add Thyme and cook 15 mins/Varoma/"Counter-clockwise operation" /Speed 1.
Onions are ready when fluid has evaporated and onions are soft and sticky but still moist.
Add all remaining ingredients and cook 15 mins/Varoma/Speed 1.
Jam is ready when fluid has evaporated and mixture has a sticy jam consistency.
Serve immediately or place in jars. Will store for up to 3 months.

I added a dried chilli and also cooked an extra 5 minutes. Looks and smells great can’t wait to use it in my sandwiches and add to the cheese platter. Next time I’m trying with the fig balsamic. Thank you a great use of my left over onions from Xmas

Delicious. I also cooked 5 minutes longer and I used a fig balsamic vinegar instead of red wine vinegar so I cut back to half the sugar. Having on pizza tonight.

Pretty happy with my first
Pretty happy with my first attemp at this recipe. Looking forward to trying with some cheese! I did need to cook it for approx 5mins longer to get the right consistency.
