  • 750 g white bread, (day old)
  • 1 small onion, (optional)
  • 120 g Tarama (fish roe)
  • 1 M/C Lemon Juice
  • 150 g olive oil

Recipe's preparation

  1.  Soak the bread in water, take off crust and wring out bread well.

     

    Put the tarama into bowl with half the lemon juice, a small amount of the oil and mix for 1 minute on speed 7.  Add remainder of juice and oil and all of the bread and mix on speed 6 until combined.  Use spatula to aid.

     

    If you want to add onion, chop this first on speed 7 for 5 seconds then continue with above instructions.

    Hi Helen, I'm so looking forward to making taramosalata in my Thermomix! Can I use mashed potato instead of the bread to make it gluten free? How much potato or mashed potato would you recommend? Thanks.
