Recipe is created for
TM 5Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
350 grams of onions, peeled and quartered. Chop 5 seconds, speed 5. Remove if you want chunkier relish.
1 kilogram of tomatoes
150 grams sugar
1 teaspoon Curry Powder
I teaspoon dry Mustard
1 teaspoon ground chilli or to taste
1 desertspoon salt
1 teaspoon white vinegar
1 tablespoon white vinegar.
Put all of above ingredients (except the chopped onions) into Thermomix bowl, speed 5, 5 seconds. Scrape sides and add onion.
Cook 1 hour, 100 degrees, reverse, speed 1 Using Simmering basket instead of measuring cup.
Bottle into hot, sterilised jars.
