  • 1 tbsp Vegetable, Beef or Chicken Stock Paste, (you could reduce this to 2 teaspoons)

      Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. Take the juice from your roasting pan or TM bowl and pour juices into a pyrex jug or Thermoserver if large quantity.

    Skim off fat from the surface of the liquid or, time permitting, put into freezer to allow the fat to set on top which can be easily removed.
  2. Place all ingredients into Thermomix bowl and cook on Mode / Function: Thicken - its the 'magical' mode. If you have a TM5 or TM31 then 7 minutes / 90 degrees / speed 4

This recipe can be doubled. For doubled quantities increase cooking time to 12 minutes. You can Use Beef or Chicken Stock. You can change the gravy completely by adding one of these ingredients: Red Wine / Mustard / Worchestershire Sauce / Cooked Onions / Mushrooms etc.
