Festive Avacado Dip

  • 1 chilli, red, fresh, Small birdseye
  • 2 Avocados, flesh only
  • 1 lime juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 to taste salt
  • 300 g sour cream
  • 1 level tbsp taco seasoning
  • 4 sprigs coriander, leaves only
  • 1 tomato, quartered and deseeded

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Festive Avacado Dip
  1. Place chilli into bowl, insert measuring cup and chop for 3 seconds on speed.
    Scrape down sides, add the avocado and lime juice into the bowl, insert measuring cup and mix for 5 seconds speed 6.
    Taste and season with salt.
    Scrape the avocado mixture into a serving bowl and smooth the surface.
    Cover and place in the fridge for 2 hours to set.
    Wash and dry the bowl.
    Add coriander insert measuring cup and chop on speed 8 for 3 seconds, scrape down sides and add tomato insert measuring cup and chop 5 seconds speed 7.
    Sprinkle the tomato mixture over the sour cream and avocado mixture.
    Serve immediately with corn chips.
