  • 250 g basmati rice
  • 480 g Boiling water
  • 1 tablespoon ghee or oil
  • 3 whole cloves
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 3 cardamom pods
  • 1 tablespoon Pistachio or Pine Nuts

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place rice in TM basket and rinse really well under cold water(until water runs clear). Allow to drain and rest for half an hour.

    When ready to cook:

    Add ghee to TM bowl and melt on Varoma, speed 1 for 30 seconds. Pour rice into bowl and sauté on Varoma, for 1 minute, speed 1.
    Add all other ingredients.
    Cook at Varoma for 5 minutes, speed 1, Counter-clockwise operation
    Tip into Thermoserver and set aside for 25 mins.

    Remove Cinnamon Stick, Cardamom Pods and Cloves before serving
