Tip
For something different, you can make a 'zucchini slice pie' using a quantity of the rough puff pastry from the Everday Cookbook (picture above is slice with pastry).
For a vegetarian option, omit the bacon.

I used ham instead of bacon.I didn't grate block cheese, I used normal grated cheese I had and through that in as it was at the end with other ingredients. Added some salami, capsicum, some grated parmesan cheese, and home made sweet chilli sauce.Add some of my YIAH products to the mix. Made these into 8 x Mini Loaf size portions. This is a great base recipe to add whatever you have on hand!I cooked for about 35-40 mins. 10/10 didn't last long.

Beautiful Slice! Ive made this numerous times now and every time I use different veggies. Really just depends what I want to use up in the veggie crisper. Great way to use up excess eggs and veggies. Today I didnt have zucchini or bacon so instead I put about 550g of mixed veggies like pumpkin, cauli, broc, capsicum, mushrooms aswell as the carrot & added 1/2 tsp vegeta stock powder to the mix then placed extra cheese on top just before baking. Yummo! Its a hit. Thanks so much for sharing

Really really easy, and no worries about the zucchini getting soggy. I omitted the bacon as I am on a low salt diet and added some capscicum and mushrooms instead. I also chose to use milk in lieu of oil as I couldn't really fathom that much oil in it.. The true test will be my six year old...

Really good recipe, just like my grandmas tried and tested non-Thermomix recipe! I end up cooking it for about 45mins though, it never seems to cook well in the middle, i think its my oven. Sometimes if I'm in the mood for a bit more flavour I sprinkle in some chicken stock powder (Vegeta brand) or powdered mustard.
