Red Pepper and Tomato Harrissa Soup
- 50 g Avocado or olive oil
- 1 small onion
- 1 garlic clove
- 250 g grape tomatoes
- 6 red peppers, (Capsicums) cut in large pieces
- 1 tsp chicken stock
- 1 tablespoon Harissa paste, 1 heaping spoon
- half litre water for stock, add as much as to make 1 Liter soup

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
- 1, Put 40g of Rice / Lentils into "Closed lid" and Grind on Sp 9 for 15 secs, remove and leave to the side.
2, Put Oil, Peppers, Garlic and Onion into "Closed lid" and chop for 8 secs / Sp 5 until roughly chopped. Scrape down sides of bowl with spatula.
3, Saute for 8 min/100degreesC/Speed 1.
4, Add tomatoes, ground rice/lentils, Harissa paste and enough water to make 1L and cook for 15 min / 100degrees / Speed 2.
5, Puree for 30 seconds / Speed 10 until smooth - or until preferred tecture is reached.
5, Serve with a swirl of cream, chopped chives and croutons.
