Thank you so very much for this recipe.

I've not made them, but my six year old has and they are divine!

All the tastiness of a sossie roll, with some of the guilt removed. 😄

We don't eat feta so used cheddar and it worked well.

Sadly, I only can only eat them when my son makes them as he's holding them as some sort of ransom! #Powertrip

Hi all just a tip re freezing. I find freezing the mixture on its own is better than with the pastery. I roll it up like a sausage in cling rap and it keeps for up to 6 months.

At first I was skeptical, but after reading all the comments I thought id try it and I'm glad I did. These are delicious - could easily fool any carnivore into thinking these are meat.
Only used 2 eggs, and brushed just with milk in the last step. added 1 zucchini and 3 baby carrots to it when mixing through the egg part.
This mixture made 4 puff pastry sheets worth and I've saved the remainder in the freezer before cooking. thanks for the great recipe - I'm going to have a play around next time and add some Worcestershire sauce.

Everyone can’t believe these gems are Vegetarian!

These are superb - first time I made them, no one trusted me when I told them they were vegetarian. We found the mix was a little wet, so added more oats and breadcrumbs (about another 10 gms of each. Another tip is get a piping bag (the disposable ones are great) and then pipe onto the pastry. A fantastic recipe that is expected every time I need to make pastr

Could not stop eating these. They are delicious. I added carrot and zucchini. Only 2 eggs needed in the mix and still had to add a bit more breadcrumbs to make it less runny. I used a vegan feta cheese. I found the dried herbs a bit overpowering. Might cut down to 1tbsp or use fresh herbs instead.

    Submitted by Briazzle on 3. August 2019 - 12:52.

I found the mixture very runny. I think because I put 3 eggs in the mixture rather than 2 and should have saved the third one to brush the rolls.
Just be aware if this if you are about to make these as it wasn’t made clear in the preparation.
I had to add 200grams more of the breadcrumbs to thicken it up.
I also added half a zucchini, a carrot and some BBQ sauce.
Other than that they worked out well.
