If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Describe the preparation steps of your recipe
Peel, core and chop finely apple and pear. Put in TM basket
Add 500g water to TM bowl
Cook 15min/Varoma/Speed 2 or until apple and pear soft
Remove basket from TM and remove water
Put apple, pear, water and cinnamon powder back in TM bowl
Blend 15-20sec/Sp8
Scrape down and blend again if required
Add more water to achieve desired consistency

Tip
For some baby food, I find that using the butterfly at speed 4 gives me a more pureed consistency. I haven't yet tried with this.
