Baby Oats Base

  • 1 --- Cup of Organic Rolled or Instant Oats
  • 3 heaped tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp flaxseeds
  • 1 --- Cup milk of choice
  • 1 --- Cup of filtered or boiled water

Extra Optional Ingredients

  • 1/2 portion banana, chopped or mashed
  • 1 level tsp cinnamon
  • 1 level tsp Hemp Seeds
  • 1 level tsp Organic Vanilla Paste or nut butter

Recipe's preparation

    Step 1
  1. Add dry ingredients and chop, speed 6 for 2-3 sec then scrape down bowl.
  2. Step 2
  3. Add in your chosen liquid and any additional extras. Cook 100 deg, speed 2 for 7 mins.
  4. Step 3
  5. Optional - add in some extra milk/water to cool. It will thicken upon standing.

    Add any toppings you wish.

Tip

You can easily adapt this for dairy free by using all water or a suitable nut milk.
This recipe also freezes well and is easily doubled.

    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
