      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Pre-Heat oven to 200deg fan forced.

In a small bowl place Linseeds and 1/2 cup measure of water.  Leave aside to soak.

Put 800g water into TM bowl add Salt, put TM Basket into bowl and add Quinoa to basket.  Cook 15min/100deg/sp3-4.

Remove TM Basket, pour remaining water in bowl through cooked Quinoa in basket as some Quinoa will have fallen through into bowl water.  Fluff with a fork and leave aside.

Into TM bowl add Sesame Seeds, Soy Sauce, Sesame Oil and reserved plump Linseeds.  Add Quinoa and mix 6-10sec / sp4.  Scrape bowl and stir through, mix a further 5 sec / sp4.

On trays lined with baking paper drizzle olive oil, spoon mixture onto trays ( usually need 3 trays ) and spread out mixture with the back of an oiled dessert spoon.  Try to get as thin as possible.

Cook for about 7mins then take out trays, score cracker mix with a sharp knife into squares and place trays back in the oven for a further 20-25mins (depending on how thin your mix is)

    Cool on a wire rack
