  • 70 grams walnuts
  • 220 grams rolled oats
  • 50 grams brown linseed, whole

Recipe's preparation

    Kitchen Prep
  1. Preheat oven to 180-Celsius and lightly coat a 12 piece muffin tin with a cooking spray

  2. Ingredients Prep
  3. 1. Place walnuts into TM and mill into a rough meal for 5-10 sec / speed 7

  4. 2. Add oats, linseed, raisins, and Vanilla flavoured whey protein powder into TM and mix for 20 sec / speed 2 Counter-clockwise operation

  5. 3. Add vanilla extract, honey and maple syrup and mix for 30 sec / speed 5 Counter-clockwise operation ensuring to start on speed 1 and build up to speed 5

  6. 4. Mixture should be nicely binding together the ingredients and a little moist to touch, however the TM mixing bowl should have relatively clean sides with nothing sticking to it. Mixture should almost come out in one ball.

  7. Cooking Prep
  8. 1. Place even amounts of the mixture in each of the 12 lightly greased muffin tray places, then lightly press into all areas of the mould (if necessary, slightly wet fingers before this step).

  9. 2. Place tray into the oven for 10min. Ensure it is no longer than 10min as it is very easy to overcook and dry out the mixture here.

  10. 3. Remove tray from oven and let sit for 5-10min before removing bars from the tray. They are now ready to enjoy!

Have just made me these with a couple of changes. Used sultanas instead of raisins, and a combination power & go mix  from Coles which included linseed instead of plain linseeds. They are delicious and were super easy to make. Loved how they were baked in a muffin tin so no messy cutting once baked.

Would like to know if they could be frozen and how long they keep for in an air tight container.
