  • 120 grams dark chocolate
  • 50-100 grams fine sugar, eg TMX-made castor or rapadura
  • 70 grams plain flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 100 grams walnuts
  • 20 grams cocoa powder

      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid.       If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

  1. Optional; chop walnuts for up to 3 seconds on Speed 5.
  2. Pre-heat oven at 180 degrees.
  3. Put broken chocolate into TMX bowl, chop for 5 seconds on Speed 9.
    Add butter and melt for 3 minutes on 50 degrees on Speed 3.
    Cool slightly.
  4. Add cocoa, vanilla extract and eggs and mix for 20 seconds on Speed 5
  5. Add sugar and flour and mix for 10 seconds on Speed 6
  6. Add chopped walnuts and mix for 5 seconds on Reverse at Speed 4 OR Add UNchopped walnuts, mix for 5 seconds on Speed 4
  7. Pour into lined pan and bake for 25 minutes.
  8. Cool in pan before removing and cutting into squares.

    Not too bad, but I found it a bit dry & not sweet enough for my liking. The 2 yo liked it. I subs walnuts for macadamias.

    just made these they smell awesome I used macadamias and a slice tin so was a bit thin will have to used a differnent tin next time
