Cookies

  • 2 bananas approx 250-300g, the riper, the better
  • 120 grams rolled oats, not the instant quick oats

Mix-ins (optional)

  • Chocolate chips or Cacao bits
  • Dried Fruit, eg cranberries, raisins
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Nuts, cashew, peanuts, almonds, walnuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence or powder
  • nut butters and jams
  • Flaked or Desiccated Coconut
  • m&ms or smarties
  • seeds, pumpkin, sunflower, sesame

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Preheat oven to 180 degrees
  1. Add 2 bananas to mixing bowl

     

  2. Puree bananas at speed 6 for 5 secs

  3. Add 120g of oatmeal to mixing bowl. 

  4. Mix for 5 secs at speed 5.

    If it looks very wet, add another 10-20g of rolled oats to the mix and stir it in.

     

  5. Add in mix-ins if you want and mix for another 3 secs at speed 5.

  6. Scoop out a dessert spoon of mix and put it on a cookie tray. Flatten slightly.

  7. Put it in the oven for 15-20 mins till golden brown.

Tip

10 seconds is all it takes.  5 seconds to mash the bananas, another 5 seconds to mix in the oats.

Any kind of stir-ins is great.  Simplest cookies you will ever make.

    Fantastic recipe! couldn't be easier and very delicious even just with 2 ingredients! I added some cinnamon. Was a big hit with my 3year old who ate 4, and my 1 year old. tmrc_emoticons.) Shall make on a regular basis.

    Thanks Geraldine these are great! So healthy and surprisingly tasty! I added 30g dried cranberries to the mix and topped each cookie with an almond. Yum
