If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

I used fresh apricots, didn't soak dates, didn't put Rice Malt Syrup in. Soft mixture that firms nicely once refrigerated.

I don't know what I did wrong but my mix was so wet and sticky..... I had to add at least 1/2 cup coconut to get it to come together. I did use Medjool dates so maybe they were more moist than dried dates? They were still yummy!

  • One of the first things I did

    Submitted by sarrei on 7. June 2015 - 16:40.

One of the first things I did in my new thermomix and these worked really well.  I made a couple of modifications due to my pantry contents.

I used packet almond meal as I am trying to finish what I have in the pantry, and I also rolled them in this as I didn't have any coconut.  I also didn't have rice malt sryup so used some maple syrup instead.

They worked a treat and my toddler also is enjoying them.  Thank you.  tmrc_emoticons.)
