- 125 g Butter, Room Temperature
- 165 g brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 270 g self-raising flour
- 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 1 tsp mixed spice
- 200 gram Ripe banana, Mashed
- 120 g cream, or sour cream
- 60 g Milk

TM 5Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
Preheat oven 160deg. Grease or line your preferred tin (I use a bread loaf tin).
Add butter and brown sugar to mixing bowl MC on and mix 30sec/speed4. Scrape down edges.
Add eggs MC on 10sec/Speed 4. Scrape down edges.
Add all other ingredients. MC on mix 30sec/Speed 3. Scrape down edges, if not quite combined or banana isnt mixed through, mix anther 10 sec/Speed 4.
Pour into prepared tin (loaf, round or square what ever you like to use) and bake at 160deg for 50minutes. Cake is cooked when skewer comes out clean.
Allow to cook on a wire rack - enjoy!
NOTE: I dont ice my banana cake but if you can if you want too. I use a loaf tin then when cooled slice, indiviually wrap and freeze for school/work lunches.
