Banana pudding cake
- 180 g sugar
- 250 g ripe bananas, peeled and chopped
- 250 g plain flour
- 1.5 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 90 g walnuts
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 eggs
- 120 g oil, sunflower, canola etc
- 200 g Yogurt
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 1 package Cottees Vanilla pudding mix
Frosting/Glaze (optional)
- 250 g icing sugar
- 2 tsp Butter
- 50 g freshly squeezed lemon juice

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Grease and line a loaf pan.
Blitz the sugar10secs/sp9.
Add the remaining ingredients, except for the glaze.
Blend 20secs/sp5. Scrape and repeat if necessary, to ensure bananas are blended.
Spread into a prepared pan.
Bake for 1 hour or until cooked when tested.
Leave in the pan for 10 minutes before cooling on a wire rack and ice if required. - Add the icing sugar and butter, 10secs/sp4.
Add enough of the lemon juice to create a spreadable consistency.
