Butter Cut Out Biscuits
- 175 g unsalted butter, Softened
- 200 g raw sugar
- 2 eggs, Large
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 400 g plain flour, plus more if needed
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
Icing
- 300 g icing sugar, sieved
- Food colouring
- 1-3 tablespoons hot water, Not quite boiled

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
- 1. Put the Oven on at 180*C
2. Add raw sugar 5s/Sp9 to convert to caster sugar
3. Add butter to bowl and cream 20s/Sp4
4. Add vanilla and eggs. Mix 5sec/Sp6
Scrape down sides
5. Add rest of the ingredients and mix 10s/Sp6
6. Mix on /20sec
7. Tip out onto a mat and bring together into a ball
8. Wrap and cling film and leave in the fridge for at least 30min
9. Put onto floured surface and roll to 5mm thick and use a cookie cutter to cut into shapes.
10. Cook in the oven for 8-12 minutes depending on the size of your cookie
11. Cool on a wire rack - 1. Put a couple of tablespoons of water into a large bowl. Add the sieved icing sugar and mix together, adding more water as needed to form a thick paste. Colour as desired. Decorate your cookies
