Chocolate Banana Bread

  • 4 --- bananas, ripe
  • 2 teaspoons golden syrup
  • 150 grams Self Raising Flour
  • 80 grams sugar
  • 50 grams cocoa powder, dutch process
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Bean Paste
  • 1 --- egg
  • 200 grams semi-sweet chocolate chips, + extra for garnish optional

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 160C
    Add peeled bananas and golden syrup to bowl, 5 seconds speed 4
  2. Add flour, sugar, cocoa, vanilla and egg to bowl, 10 seconds, speed 3
  3. Scrape down, add chocolate chips, 10 seconds speed 3
  4. Pour into loaf tin or mini loaf tin. garnish with extra choc chips if you wish.
    Bake for 40 minutes for full loaf or 30 for mini

Tip

Modified from trtlmt 30 second banana bread.
If you want to just add chocolate chips (also tastes great), only use 3 bananas.
