  • 1 tbsp golden syrup
  • 1 tsp bicarb soda
  • 2 tbsp Boiling water
  • 80 g rolled oats
  • 55 g Desiccated Coconut

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees and line 2 trays with baking paper

    2. Place butter and golden syrup in TM bowl. 3 minutes, 60 degrees, speed 1.5

    3. Mix bicarb with boiling water - ensure it's completely dissolved

    4. Add bicarb water to TM bowl.  10 sec, speed 3

    5. Add dry ingredients.  1 min, Counter-clockwise operation, speed 3

    6. Place teaspoon size balls onto baking trays, press down slightly

    7. Bake for 12 minutes, or until golden brown.

    8. Allow to cool on tray for a few minutes before transferring to cooling rack.
