      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Line a slab tray (21cm x 31cm) with baking paper.

  2. Place peeled bananas into TM bowl. Mix sp 7 / 5 seconds. Scrape down sides..

  3. Insert butterfly and add all other ingredients and mix 1 minute / sp 4. (it will be quite full but give it the full minute and it all combines nicely)

  4. Remove butterfly and pour mixture evenly into baking tray. Place in oven and bake for 50 minutes or until cooked. Leave in tin to cool slightly before carefully removing to wire cooling rack.

Tip

This is a great sized cake to make into a decorated children's birthday cake.

It will also freeze well cut into portions and wrapped for lunchboxes.

This recipe can be halved as I converted a recipe that I have doubled from the original.

The original was a one bowl butter cake. You can leave out bananas and flavour with citrus zest and juice, add cocoa for choc flavoured. I would love to hear some other variations.

Oh my goodness - how did I miss this. Sorry you wasted your ingredients. I have updated the recipe to include the SR flour now.

I think flour might have been overlooked in the ingredients. Turned into an oily mess and followed the recipe exactly
