Ingredients

Marlene's Choc Peppermint Slice

  • 1 package Marie biscuits
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa
  • 150g condensed milk
  • 100g Butter Cubed
  • 200g Cadbury peppermint chocolate
  • 3 drops peppermint essence
  • 200g white chocolate
  • 3-4 drops green food colouring

Recipe's preparation

  1. Break biscuits into bowl and mill 10 seconds, speed 6.

     

  2. Add the cocoa and combine for 5 seconds, speed 4.

     

  3. Set biscuit mix aside.

     

  4. Melt condensed milk, butter, peppermint chocolate and peppermint essence, 5-10 minutes, 50 degrees, speed 2 until melted and combined.

     

  5. Add biscuit mix back to bowl and combine 25 seconds, speed 3.

     

  6. With wet hands, press biscuit mix into slice tin greased and lined with baking paper. Put into fridge to set while preparing topping.

     

  7. Wash and carefully dry bowl ensuring no water is left in bowl.

     

  8. Add white chocolate to dry bowl and melt 2-3 minutes, 50 degrees, speed 2.

     

  9. Pour melted chocolate onto biscuit mix and spread.

     

  10. Working quickly, with a metal skewer or the end of a spoon, dip into the food colouring and drizzle a few drops of food colouring onto the chocolate and swirl through chocolate.

     

  11. Refrigerate for about 12 minutes until just set, cut into pieces and return to fridge to set further.
