  • 125 grams Butter
  • 100 grams golden syrup
  • 100 grams rolled oats
  • 90 grams sultanas
  • 75 grams dried cranberries or craisins
  • 90 grams Chopped Apricots
  • 40 grams Currents
  • 80 grams Self Raising Flour
  • 95 grams brown sugar

Recipe's preparation

    Muesli Slice
  1. Preheat oven to 180 deg cel.

  2. Place butter and golden syrup in the bowl, stir 4 minutes, 60 deg, speed 2 until butter is fully melted. ( 2 minutes if butter is soft already).

  3. Place oats, sultanas, currents, cranberries, apricots, flour and sugar in bowl.     Stir Counter-clockwise operation, 30 seconds, speed 2 until well combined.

  4. Press into base of a 25 cm x 25 cm pan lined with grease proof paper. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool completely in the tin before cutting into slices to serve.

  • I replaced the brown sugar

    I replaced the brown sugar with coconut sugar which decreased the sweetness slightly.  Slightly chewy consistency even when it cooled.  As another noted, quite moist when it first came out of the oven.  I ended up cooking it 10 minutes longer.
