Recipe's preparation

  1. Place butter, sugars and vanilla in TM bowl.  Cream together for 1 minute on speed 3-4.   With TM still running, add egg through hole in lid and continue mixing on speed 3-4 for 30 seconds. Add flour and salt, knead on interval speed for 30 seconds. Add chocolate chips, stir through with spatula. Drop teaspoonfuls of mixture on trays, leaving room for spreading.  Bake in moderate oven for 10-12 minutes.

Tip

This is a family favourite Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe, converted to turn out perfectly in the Thermomix. It took a few tweaks to get it just right, I'm starting to learn that cake/cookie mixture needs to be handled in a certain way in the Thermomix to get the same results as with a mix master.  These cookies are delicious with a soft and chewy center and crisp outside.  Usually we make them with dark chocolate chips, but these ones are made using Reese's Pieces that Ty and Sam brought back for us from the USA.  We have a HUGE bag of them and I don't really like them for eating on their own, but they are yum to cook with!

These are delicious, and probably my favourite version of choc chip cookies I have made so far. Halved both quantities of sugar, and they are still plenty sweet. I am sure I will be making these again and again.

Made for my daughters 14th B'Day Party. Everyone loved them - best chocolate chip cookies ever!!! Just like the chewy store bought ones that my daugther can't eat due to her food allergies. I make them using Sweet William chocolate buttons so that they are nut free.

You really don't need another chocolate chip cookie recipe after you've found this! So easy and yummmy! My tweaks...

    - reduced both sugars to 70g as per recommendation

    - i added a fair wack of vanilla...i cant get enough

    - i used 70% dark lindt chocolate (my go.to chocolate for cooking) and increased to 200g

    - pinch of salt only

-I also reversed speed to incorporate the chocolate chips

    -170 for 11mins

perfect cookies. Thanks for the recipe

I’m sorry but these cookies, although they looked good, nobody, not even my sweet tooth husband could eat them. They were just too too sweet. It makes such a huge batch I was devastated to put them all in the rubbish bin. IF I ever try them again I would halve the sugar at least.
Oops I should have read the reviews regarding the sugar amount.
