If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Quick "Chocolate" Cake
  1. Pre heat oven on 180°C (fan forced) 5-10mins, grease and line a 20cm standard cake tin with baking paper.

Add coconut sugar to the mixing bowl and mill for 20SECS SPD8. Scrape down sides and repeat for 10SECS SPD8. Scrape down sides.

Add all remaining ingredients and mix for 1MIN SPD6. Scrape down sides (this cake mixture is a little thicker than a regular cake mix, if it is too thick for your liking, add in a little extra water now) Repeat for 10SECS SPD6.

Remove mixing bowl and pour/scrape mixture out into prepared cake tin and bake on 160°C for 30-35 minutes, or until your skewer comes out clean. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes and transfer cake to a cooking rack. *Please note that this cake doesn't have the height of a regular cake, if you like a cake with "height" you would need to make two, to join them together*

    Decorate as desired.

Tip

If you'd like the cake a little fudgy, check it at the 25 minute mark and remove from the oven to cool.

This was so quick & easy to make for my daughter's birthday, thank you. I also made dairy free by using margarine.
