      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

  1. Add all ingredients to the mixing bowl. Knead Dough Dough mode/3 min. Dough should be soft and coming away from sides of the bowl. If the dough is too wet, add a little more flour and knead until it is no longer sticky. If the dough is too dry add a dash of milk and knead until it forms a smooth dough.
  2. Turn out into a bowl or proofing container and cover. Set aside in a warm spot until doubled in size (at least 2 hours). If you are using a fruit filling, prepare this now.
  3. Roll out dough into a large rectangle. Spread filling/s over dough ensuring you reach the edges. (For cinnamon rolls, brush with melted butter before sprinkling with sugar and cinnamon mixture). Tightly roll from the long edge to form a large tube. Use a sharp knife to cut into 12 individual buns. place each bun on a lined baking sheet approximately 2cm apart. Cover and let rise for at least one hour in a warm room, or overnight in the fridge.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 15-20 minutes. Cool rolls completely before drizzling with a simple sugar glaze.
