I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
Add all ingredients to the bowl.
Mix at sp.6 for 15 seconds, then scrape down, and repeat until all combined.
Pour mixture into a lined loaf tin.
Bake at 200*C for 30-40 mins, until firm.
Remove from over onto a wire rack to cool.
Melt butter and sugar for the glaze. For this amount, I prefer to just pop the butter and sugar in a small dish and microwave on high for 30secs (or as long as it take to melt), then stir.
Top the cake with the glaze while the cake is still warm.
I dare you not to eat it warm. You'll never resist! Yum!

Sensational! Should have made 2, because 1 disappeared so quickly
All the kids loved this lovely cake & quick to make, thank you
Wow what an easy delicious cake. I sprinkled some cinnamon sugar onto the butter mix. Family loved it.
Made this yesterday and it was so yummy! I put a different icing on it, just icing sugar, water and vanilla essence so it had like a Krispy Kreme coating! it was so good! Thank you for this! I will definitely be making it again and again!
I tried this last night - a quick and easy cake
Finally a nice big generous tea cake recipe - this was so big, I should've used a bigger tin!
And it was lovely with a nice moist crumb, yum!!!
This will be a keeper - thank you.
This was very quick and easy to make. Very yummy. thanks for the recipe.
Super easy and delicious!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Doesn't it smell great!?!
This is FANTASIC!! I cooked it for the full 40mins, but reduced the temp to 180 C for the last 10 mins so that the crust didn't burn. My family has begged me to make it again. Soon. Thanks so much for posting. So easy and crunchy topping is such an indulgent but delicious touch.
