Ingredients

12 slice(s)

Cake

  • 60 g Butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 180 g Milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 300 g Self Raising Flour
  • 200 g brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Glaze

  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tbsp sugar
5

Recipe's preparation

    Cake
  1. Add all ingredients to the bowl.

Mix at sp.6 for 15 seconds, then scrape down, and repeat until all combined.

Pour mixture into a lined loaf tin.

Bake at 200*C for 30-40 mins, until firm.

Remove from over onto a wire rack to cool.

  2. Glaze
  3. Melt butter and sugar for the glaze. For this amount, I prefer to just pop the butter and sugar in a small dish and microwave on high for 30secs (or as long as it take to melt), then stir.

Top the cake with the glaze while the cake is still warm.

I dare you not to eat it warm. You'll never resist! Yum!

Made this yesterday and it was so yummy! I put a different icing on it, just icing sugar, water and vanilla essence so it had like a Krispy Kreme coating! it was so good! Thank you for this! I will definitely be making it again and again!   tmrc_emoticons.)

  • This is FANTASIC!! I cooked

    Submitted by Hazel on 17. August 2014 - 17:23.

This is FANTASIC!! I cooked it for the full 40mins, but reduced the temp to 180 C for the last 10 mins so that the crust didn't burn. My family has begged me to make it again. Soon. Thanks so much for posting. So easy and crunchy topping is such an indulgent but delicious touch. tmrc_emoticons.)
